I was unsure of what to expect when my direct supervisor told me she had set up for me to work with a Coach. What I found was a person, Al Burns, that was immediately approachable, easy to talk with. Al listens, hears between the words and then asks just the right questions. If I ever feel the need for more coaching and I will certainly reach out to Al Burns again.

In the time I worked with Al, he not only asked the insightful questions I needed to answer to find my own solutions, but was able to prompt me to dig deeper into why I would get sidetracked and take so long to get to those solutions. Paying attention to how he did this with me has provided me with a skill to do it with others.

I have to say that I left my meeting yesterday feeling really good about myself and it is reassuring to speak to Al without fear or prejudice, I know that when Al speaks, he speaks with experience and wanting to help me get to my end game. We need more coaches like Mr. Burns, so many leaders who do not have this quality of coach have lost their way either with drugs, alcohol, violence, etc. Speaking with someone on neutral ground is very comforting
